My published works and conferences where i have presented

Academic papers I have written or joint authored - site under construction

I recently joined the world of published authors after finally completing 'Finds Imagined'. A lovely little book of short stories based on objects found metal detecting, and covering 2000 years of history. Whilst the stories are fiction, they are woven into real historical events, sometimes relatively obscure ones. If you want to buy a copy let me know.

Academic papers: advancing geological understanding

My academic papers delve into cutting-edge research and innovative methodologies within geology and geophysics. These peer-reviewed publications demonstrate my analytical capabilities and dedication to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery. Potential employers and research collaborators will find valuable insights into my work.

If you would like a copy of one of my papers, just let me know and I will mail it to you.

A fascinating early insight

As long ago as 2002, one of the earliest insights into the value of PSDM in resolving and illuminating a subtle sand injection feature in the North Sea. At the time I was working for PetroCanada in London.

The feature was later drilled and tested by another company, but I never found out the result.

I presented this study at the annual EAGE Conference in Florence, Italy in 2002.

I worked at PetroCanada, on a variety of different projects between 1999 and 2005.

I also worked the North Sea Jackdaw project, currently in the news as a project potentially awaiting permission to develop. lucky enough to be the project geophysicist, in an outstanding team at BG Group, between 2011 and 2014. I worked at BG Group, on many different projects, between 2005 and 2016.

I plan to add a great deal more to this page
